Scent marketing has become one of the most celebrated strategies to provide better interiors and improve customer engagement. Apart from the marketing aspect, scents have become a basic need across residences and businesses. There are many types of scent diffusers available in the market, which deliver a variety of soothing fragrances.

Scent diffusers are one of the most commonly used fragrance devices. Different aromatic oils can be sued in them to evenly disperse their fragrances all over an interior. Just like any other device, scent diffusers should also be properly cleaned and looked after to function effectively. As essential oils are reactive, the diffusers should be kept clean to deliver their natural aroma. Here, we will have a look at how to clean scent diffuser machines properly. There are basically two types of cleaning.

Quick Clean

If you are using the diffuser daily, a quick clean should be done regularly every few days. First, turn off and unplug the power cord of the diffuser machine. Make sure that there is no excess oil or water residue in the water well, air vent hole, or power buttons. Then, wipe the inside of the diffuser with a dry cloth. Clean the outside part with the help of a damp cloth and warm water. Finally, rinse the diffuser and water tank and allow it to dry.

Quick clean can be of great help in the long run. Having a quick clean weekly will not only provide you a clean diffuser but also reduces the overall impurities you have to clear out at the end of the month. Most diffuser manufacturers recommend a quick clean every few days.

Deep Clean

A deep clean should be done every month. After turning off the power and unplugging the power cord, pour out the water from the power buttons and the air vent hole. Essential oils may cause discoloring or stains inside the water well. To remove this, on a dry cloth, take one or two drops of lemon or citrus essential oils and wipe out the inside water when dry. This way, you will be able to eliminate any kind of stains made by the essential oils.

Make a solution of 50/50 water and white vinegar and fill the water well 1cm in height. Tun on the diffuser and allow the mixture to run through it. This will provide the diffuser a deep clean. You may also use a vinegar-soaked cotton tip to clean any tight spots in the diffuser. After this, rinse the diffuser with clean tap water, wipe it with a dry cloth and allow it to dry.

Deep clean is essential for all kinds of diffusers. Most of the essential oils get their chemical combinations altered in the presence of impurities. This can affect the scenting quality of the oil and also the productivity of the scent diffuser. Performing a deep clean every month will make sure that the diffuser is fully occupied for the long run.

Clean diffusers provide you with pure fragrances that can enhance your mood and set up a soothing ambiance. Thus, make sure that you clean your diffusers regularly.
